At RACE Apparel & Teamwear ("we," "us," or "our"), we aim to ensure you are satisfied with your custom clothing purchase. This Refunds and Returns Policy outlines the conditions under which you may return products purchased through our website, https://www.raceapparelteamwear.co.uk (the "Site"), and seek a refund, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. This policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK law.

1. Scope of This Policy
This policy applies to all custom clothing products purchased through the Site. Due to the personalised nature of our products, specific rules apply, as outlined below.
2. No Right to Cancel for Custom Products
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel most online purchases within 14 days of receiving the goods for a full refund, including standard delivery costs. However, this right does not apply to bespoke or personalised goods made to your specifications, such as our custom clothing. As our products are tailored to your measurements, design preferences, or other custom specifications, you cannot return them for a refund due to a change of mind unless they are faulty, not as described, or unfit for purpose.
3. Returns for Faulty, Incorrect, or Non-Conforming Items
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you are entitled to remedies if the goods you receive are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose. This applies to issues such as:
Manufacturing defects (e.g., poor stitching, damaged fabric).
Items that do not match the agreed specifications (e.g., wrong size or design due to our error).
Goods that are not of satisfactory quality or unfit for their intended purpose.
3.1 Short-Term Right to Reject (0-30 Days)
If you receive a faulty, incorrect, or non-conforming item, you have the right to reject it within 30 days of receipt for a full refund, including the original delivery costs (standard delivery only). You must notify us within those 7 days of receiving the item to initiate the return process.
3.2 Repair or Replacement (Up to 6 Months)
If a fault becomes apparent after 30 days but within 6 months of receipt, we will first offer to repair or replace the item at no cost to you. If repair or replacement is not possible, disproportionate, or fails, you may be entitled to a full or partial refund, taking into account the use you’ve had of the item.
3.3 Beyond 6 Months
For faults appearing after 6 months, you may still be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund, but you must prove the fault was present at the time of delivery. We will assess each case individually.
4. Non-Returnable Items
We cannot accept returns for custom clothing in the following cases:
Items damaged due to misuse, improper care, or failure to follow care instructions provided with the product.
Normal wear and tear.
Items made correctly to your specifications where you provided inaccurate measurements or design details.
Items returned without prior approval or outside the specified timeframes.
5. Return Process
To request a return for a faulty, incorrect, or non-conforming item, please follow these steps:
Contact Us: Email us at customerservice@raceapparelteamwear.co.uk within 7 days of receiving the item, providing:
Your order number.
A description of the issue.
Clear photos or evidence of the fault or discrepancy.
Approval and Instructions: If your return is eligible, we will provide a return authorisation and instructions, including a prepaid return label for faulty items (we cover reasonable return shipping costs for faulty goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015).
Return the Item: Package the item securely in its original condition (with tags and packaging, where possible) and send it to RACE Apparel & Teamwear, 69 The Coppins, Ampthill, Bedfordshire, MK45 2SW within 14 days of receiving return instructions.
Inspection: We will inspect the returned item and notify you of the outcome within 7 days of receipt.
Failure to follow this process may result in your return being rejected.
6. Refunds
6.1 Refund Eligibility
If your return is approved:
For items rejected within 30 days, you will receive a full refund, including the item price and original standard delivery costs.
For items beyond 30 days (up to 6 months), we may offer a partial refund if the item has been used, as permitted by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Non-refunded costs include express delivery fees, international customs duties, or taxes, unless the return is due to our error.
6.2 Refund Processing
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 14 days of receiving and approving the returned item. You will be notified via email once the refund is processed.
6.3 Non-Faulty Returns
As custom clothing is exempt from the 14-day cooling-off period, we do not offer refunds for change of mind. If you have concerns about your order, contact us, and we will do our best to assist you.
7. Remakes or Repairs
For eligible returns, we may offer a remake or repair instead of a refund, especially for minor issues (e.g., loose stitching). This will be agreed upon during the return process. Remakes or repairs will be completed within 14 business days of receiving the returned item.
8. Your Responsibilities
Accurate Information: You are responsible for providing accurate measurements, design specifications, and other details for your custom order. We are not liable for errors caused by incorrect information provided by you.
Care Instructions: Follow the care instructions provided with your product. Damage due to improper care (e.g., incorrect washing) is not covered.
9. Your Statutory Rights
This policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK law, including:
The right to goods of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Remedies for faulty goods, including repair, replacement, or refund.
